Best Steak Spice Mix

$14.50

This rub is a sensational blend of natural spices, herbs, and seasonings. Simple to use, with truly memorable results. Your BBQ, oven roasted and pan cooked meats will become the talk of your family and friends. Ideal for beef, lamb, chicken, duck fillets and pork cuts, it gives a simple hamburger an added luscious complexity to its flavour.

The images show the steps to achieve a medium rare ribeye steak as shown.

Rub a good amount of the steak spice onto one side of the steak.

Lightly oil the other side.

Heat the grill, fry pan or BBQ to medium hot.

Gently place the steak oil side down on to the grill plate.

Watch the surface of the steak, after about 3 - 4 minutes you will see the top of the steak start to perspire, at this point gently smooth the spices down onto the steak and turn it over.

Cook the steak for 90 seconds on the spice side.

Gently transfer it to a cutting board and rest it for 3 minutes.

Cut straight down into thick fingers and transfer to a share plate, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.

Enjoy!

  • Simple to use, just rub on one side of a steak, oil the other side and rest the steak for 30 minutes at room temperature.

Then cook the steak oil side down for 65% of the total cooking time, when you see the meat juices rise to the spice rub, gently smooth over the rub to combine and flip over to the spice side. Cook for another 90 seconds for medium rare. Remove from the cooking plate and rest on a board for 3 minutes. Using a sharp knife, cut straight down into thick fingers, place on a share plate and drizzle with your best extra virgin olive oil. It’s that easy.

  • Rub olive oil on the meat, then rub a generous amount of the Spice rub into the surface, rest for 30 minutes then roast as you normally do for that piece of meat.

  • Prepare your normal hamburger patty, then sprinkle the spice rub on one side and oil the other side.

Cook oil side down until deep brown, then turn onto the spice side and finish cooking.

  • Rub onto the meat pieces and leave to marinate for at least 30 minutes. place onto your BBQ and cook gently until done.

Baste with a little oil if required.

  • Par boil the potatoes in skins, cool and cut into wedges, splash with olive oil, spread on a baking tray and cook at 200*c for 25 minutes, sprinkle on steak spice, toss and cook for another 10 minutes, serve.
